We caught up with Darcy Turenne up in Whistler at the Mountain Bike Park. We also went to her favorite Skate Park in North Van. Darcy rides for Brodie and shows a lot of style and talent on the trail. She's got the freeride spirit for sure.

This video is of the Crankworx '06 X-Cross. Whistler hosts the Crankworx mountain bike festival. The Mountain Cross is one of the crowd pleasers. Watch Jared Graves pull a win out over Cedric, Lopes, and Hannah. Also features the wining runs by Jill Kitner and Stacy Kohut.

Early in the summer of '06 the Seattle area weekly The Stranger published an article about illegal dirt jumps discovered at the edge of one of the city's more affluent neighborhoods. The city of Seattle found these jumps by accident while doing an erosion check. The jumps were in a conservation area. But the area had been overlooked. This green belt was loosing the battle to invasive plants and had become a gathering place for the homeless and drug users. The riders felt that it was a perfect place to build their jumps.

The Bones Over Metal crew caught up with Rama Fire the rider who was responsible for the dirt jumps. We also got a chance to talk to Jack Tomkinson of Urban Sparks.org Urban Sparks is working with Rama and his crew to get the city to see the positive side of the dirt jumps.

We caught up with Mike Metzger and Grant Brashers at their Becon Hill Riding Spot. 09/05 This was the very first Bones Over Metal shoot. At this point we didn't know that we'd be coming out with a movie and that the podcast would do so well it would become a beast of it's own.
